At last some veg

This is a long over due up date so here goes...........................

As I mentioned earlier on in this blog it has long been a dream of mine to have a veggie patch, it is far harder than I ever anticipated but my god is it worth it. We grew every thing apart from the cabbages our selves from seed and it really is rewarding to watch it all grow. I think maybe we have been a little ambitious considering this is the first time we have tryed to grow anything in our lives but so far so good.

Paddy really has got in to this gardening malarkey, the first thing he does when he gets home from work is to go down the garden to inspect how things are growing. I'm sure he trys talking to them (the veggies). Having all this early hot weather has brought everything on a little earlier and I also have a lovely tan on the upper half of my body.

We have now harvested all of our potato's and are about to sow another crop. We have also had cabbage and courgette's and very yummy they were too. We also have a second crop of Runner Beans & French Beans in too.

For those of you who have never grown your own veg it really is time you tryed, your own grow spuds have a taste all of their own you will never find anything like it in the supermarket.

Fingers crossed we will have our first picking of runner in the next week or so and I can't wait!!! I get very excited these days when it comes to my veggies.

Chelsea finally stopped digging in the new lawn after paddy had replaced the turf about four times, but she then started to attack some of my pot plants on the decking much to my annoyance!!

The water feature is now up and running and we have placed Hexe's stone next to it (Hexe is our German Shepard we lost just over 2 years ago), had she still been with us she would have made the water feature her own personal watering hole so it seemed fitting to place the stone there.
